Passed Out, Woke Up On A Toilet.

This week was way fast. I don't even know what happened, but like, we did a lot of things. It was way crazy. Well, to start off this week, we went looking for a less active on Tuesday, and it was a crazy adventure. I really had to go to the bathroom, so it was a disaster. Anyway, we found this less active, and he was really nice and sweet. He was smoking and drinking. Something really cool I've learned as a missionary is how much Christlike love you have for people. The longer I've gone on as a missionary, I've discovered how much it really matters in your heart. This guy had a pure heart, and that's all that mattered. He was just super special, and then he told us about how he plays a lot of music. I said I always wanted to learn guitar, but I am too lazy to pay to buy one. He walked inside and came out with a guitar after kindly rejecting me 10 times, asking him if he's sure, and telling him no. I ended up with a super cool guitar, and it's super special. ...

"His A Savage"

Pretty cool week! So, like a week and a half ago, I got transferred, and I thought, maybe we should do some Facebook work. So we went and started messaging people. I went to a Facebook group and messaged the moderator a simple message. It was a pretty cool thing. All I said was this: "Hey Marilu! I hope you're doing okay! I am Elder Tew (I know this message is a little weird, forgive me for that). I am a new missionary here in Dorado, Puerto Rico! I am just messaging you to find out if you know anybody here in Dorado that would need or want more happiness and blessings in their life from God. Or maybe answers to questions like this, for example: Is there a God? What does Jesus Christ expect of me? How can a belief in Jesus Christ help me? Is there life after death? What is the purpose of life? Let me know if you know anyone that came to your mind! Or maybe if you need some help with any of this!! I also do service with some of my friends, cleaning houses, washing cars, cutting...

Sleeping On Surfboards Because The Powers Out

So, this week was super cool. We got transferred. I came up here to Toa Baja, and our garage is automatic. We got locked out because the power went out on the entire island. Someone lit a fire in the power plant, so the whole island lost power. That said, waittttt, back up a little. After we got transferred, I got in the car with Elder Donaldson and said, "Wait, is the Chick-fil-A by our house...???" Yeah, baby, that's right. Chick-fil-A for the first time in like 10 months. Anyways, the power went out for like 48 hours. Meanwhile, right when the power went out, we were pulling up to go to our house, so we got in, and it didn't work because our garage doesn't have power. Then my comp tells me that the key to the house is locked in the house. So, what do we do? We decided to go to Levittown and sleep there... The only problem is that they don't have beds... So then we get there, "faxxxxxxxs bro," it was the funnest thing but worst sleep ever. In my ne...

Missions Are The Best Thing Ever! Do You Know How Much I Have Learned?

Well, well, well, I guess this was a crazy week. We had so much: conferences, lessons, service, exchanges, transfer calls. Well, I am going to start with a funny story. So we had a crazy service project this week, as in really funny. The work wasn't crazy. To start, they gave me and Elder Teuscher machetes, which is not a good idea anyways. We were like, "Hey, what do you want us to start chopping down?" The lady from service said, "Cut them" (proceeds to point at the sister missionaries at the service with us). Okay, uh, that's weird. Anyways, we started cutting down trees, and she's like, "Look, there are ants on you" (to Elder Teuscher). She said, "Take off your shirt and do it." Okay, that's a little suspicious. And then, at the end, we were like, "Hey, we should take a picture of the service," and she proceeds to say, "Yes, let's take a picture without them (ellas, which is the feminine form in Spanish, mea...
