First Day Of MTC Online
Buenas noches, mis amigos. Today was the first day of home MTC, which also fell on a P-Day. Kinda weird because I don't have any laundry or any errands to run, so I woke up at 5:30 (we have to follow Mexico City time), which sucks because I lose an hour of sleep and technically have to go to bed at 9:30. So that's kinda wack. I woke up and worked out for the first time since last week when I went to David's apartment and did some lifting (I ran today), which was so sucky because my family wasn't awake yet, so I couldn't go on a run alone outside to see the scenery because I need a compañero. So running on the treadmill with no music, that sucked. After I showered, that was the best part of my morning. Lol, I had personal study and I read the BOM of choice because I love it so much, and I accidentally fell asleep after an hour in my chair. Lol, my dad came and woke me up at 9, and I was so out of it all morning. My first class was a welcome Zoom call, and there were like 215 kids in it all starting MTC today, which made me more sad because I want to be at the MTC meeting all these kids in the lunchrooms and on the campus. I would love to make new friends. Anyways, the welcome call lasted an hour, and it was fun. We got sent off into different groups for little sharing things to get to know each other. There was this one kid that was so funny. He was just like me. We were going off, talking and not shutting up. I miss that kid Elder Jensen. He was a cool kid. Sadly, the meeting ended after 10 minutes, and I'll probably never see him again. :( When the whole group was together in the MTC call with all 200 amigos, the chat was going crazy. When he asked questions, the chat went crazy. It was like twitch.tv. The kids were going wild, saying where their call was and their ages and stuff, and he was reading off the ones he saw. Some kid said "pogu," and it made me laugh because it was a twitch word, so I know there are some other gamer nerds in there. After that, I had an hour break, and it was chill. I went to the store and got eye drops for my eyes because they were so dry from staring at a screen. From 3:30 to 7, I was in a district call and met all the kids. We talked about the missionary purpose, which was so fun. Then Hermano Maldonado was my teacher. She is 23, so she's close to our age. She served her mission in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She's so nice and fun. It was awesome. She makes me laugh a lot because her inglés is not that good, so it's like me when I speak Spanish, and her accent and the conjugation she uses for words is always wrong, and it is hilarious. My compañero is Elder Weisler. He's like the nicest kid so far. I also get along well with Elder Weaver and Elder Topham. They're in my district. Elder Weaver is cool because he's done 5 years of Spanish (he's not a pro), but he's really good at it, so he was helping me in our little Spanish lesson, and he's really into the gospel like me. We did well on our lesson on baptism. We were like the best group. We work together well. Elder Topham is super funny. He's talking stocks with me a lot because he's obsessed. He said he lost 2 grand last week in cryptos. Lol, so I said "Doge to the moon" to make him mad. It was funny. We also set up Facebooks, and I hate it. I feel like a dad, but go follow the book @coleman tew. Anyways, that's all that happened today. My Spanish is still very bad. Lol.
