Reaching Out For God

Well, what the freaking heck?

I did it, and I accomplished my bucket list.... I was sunburnt in Aibonito, por fin!

I am so hungry.

I literally hate this.

So, we were looking for this less active man who hasn't been to church since 2004 (he asked us how Gordon B. Hinckley is). Anyway, he's 41 now, and we happened to find him the other week when we were walking on the street! He was like, "Yo, I am an elder too. I have the Melchizedek Priesthood." We were like, "What?" and we have no idea who you are. Jaja. Anyways, we have been looking for his house for 2 weeks, and we finally found it randomly. Lots of work to figure out where this guy lives, but we get there, and we're like, "Yo," and he's like, "Come in." So we sat down, and we go inside, and we start talking to this guy, and he looks at my hand and reaches out and says, "Is that a Book of Mormon?" So I hand it to this guy and say, "Yes," and he takes it, and I could see his spirit just reaching out for this food and comfort from this book he hasn't seen in so long. And it just hit me that it's just true, it's all true, everything is just true, and I feel so good to be able to give that man his Book of Mormon so he can feel that joy that comes from this book.

He was reaching out. How do we captivate that and find the people who are reaching out in our lives? I thought about that. Like, this guy hasn't had anyone reach out to him in over 20 years from the church (probably a lie, he moved, and there was no phone number), but God put us in his path to find him and talk to him again because God loves him.

That's how it is for all of us. God is always just reaching out because he loves us. Like, what are the odds we were just put in his path to find him again?

There are no coincidences.

This week, I learned about God's love a lot and agency.

It was good.

Good stories, too lazy to type.

God loves you all.

How do we captivate being the instrument in God's hands when people are reaching out? The best conclusion I have come to is prayer. We've got to start asking for opportunities to let people...

I've also been learning a lot about agency.

God likes to use us to show his love to others.
