God's timing is so insane.

This week, I feel like I saw God's timing more than anything!

Elder Donaldson and I were walking down the street in a neighborhood, looking for calle 6. We started on 3 and thought we were on 4, so we walked two blocks over and got really lost. After walking to the end of the street and relieving ourselves in some bushes (as a joke), Elder Donaldson said, "There are no coincidences in God." We kept walking, and three houses down, we found this couple who are now open to being taught. It's pretty cool because they're solid people with lots of potential, and they're keeping commitments pretty well.

Continuing on, we were walking in another neighborhood this week, trying to get to a specific house. I suggested parking at a park and walking from there. We knocked on the girl's door, but she wasn't home. We had met her three days before, and although she was tipsy, she was really cool. We wanted to talk to her while she wasn't drunk. So, we went to the next street over and knocked on the door of a less active member. His wife answered, and we talked and said a prayer. Then, we walked back to the other street, and as a lady was carrying things into her house, we ended up talking to her. She said she wasn't super interested in our message, but she'd read the Book of Mormon because she loves reading. She was mind blown that we caught her at just the right time while she was walking inside since she's always locked up inside or at work, super busy 24/7. We thought that was weird. We kept walking and met this guy named Jesse who was super cool. We talked to him for a little while, turned around to walk back to our car, and the drunk lady drove right by us, smiling and waving. We were mind blown after all that random talking that we happened to be on the street to meet all those people at the right time and then pass by and wave at the drunk lady. It was really cool.

It's really cool to look back on your own life and think of all the times that God has placed something or someone in your path at the perfect moment and just be like, "Wow. There's no way God doesn't exist."

Pollo guisado, my worst enemy. The worst food on the whole island. And I defeated it this week. When I got to the mission, I had like four member meals my first week, and they were all pollo guisado. Since then, I've been deathly terrified to man up and eat it because of the experiences I had. I didn't want that again. So, I always pocketed it or put it in a bag. This week, we went walking and left our bags in the car. We decided to walk two miles to our member meal just to get some time out and talk to people. When we arrived at the member meal, I realized it was pollo guisado. I didn't have my ziplocks or a napkin because she didn't give it to us. As I looked at her smile while she was giving us the food, I knew I was going to have to eat it. I said a prayer in my head, asking not to choke while I ate it. The whole time, I was just trying to think of Chick-fil-A chicken. I have no idea what that chicken tasted like or what the conversation was. I don't know how I ate that. That was purely the hands of God helping a missionary with his weaknesses. It really made Ether 12:27 become true.

I've been relating my life a lot this week to God's timing and how perfect it is. It's insane to look at all the little things you don't notice and be like, "Wow, He did that. That was only done by the works of God." Or, "Wow, I can't believe I ate that." "Wow, I can't believe I got through that." I know God lives, and His son Jesus Christ also lives. The mission is an amazing experience to realize all the blessings you have and the joy you feel. I'm seriously glad I made the decision to go on a mission. It's been an amazing life experience.
