¡¡¡My Mission Was Extended!!!

Well, I got talked to at zone conference this week, and I got an extension to my mission!

Mosiah (4:3) inspired thought:

The Atonement has practical, personal, daily value in your life, so apply it.

The power in daily repentance is key and amazing.

If you are daily repenting, you will always have an influence of the Holy Ghost. The cleansing comes from the Holy Ghost. (Moroni 6:4) You will always be repenting daily, having daily influence of the healing power of the Atonement.

"In the coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost." - Russell M. Nelson

"Find joy in daily repentance." - Russell M. Nelson

"Blessed are all they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost." (3 Nephi 12:6)

Our ability to hear spiritually is linked to our willingness to work at it.

Desire (hungering and thirsting) and action, that combination of faith and hard work is the consummate curriculum for learning the language of the Spirit. Hungering and thirsting translate to sheer spiritual labor. Work works and is the key to learning to hear the voice of the Lord.

The times on the mission when I hear the Lord the best is when we are out acting, not just wondering what He is going to say. It's a prayer we act, and we hope we are blessed, and if we are wrong, God lets us know. We can and will hear the voice of the Lord if we are working towards righteousness.

Always having righteous habits or daily repenting.

Because the natural man is an enemy to God and has been since the fall of Adam and will be forever and ever unless he yields to the enticing of the Holy Spirit.

Personally, righteousness, scripture study, daily repentance, church attendance, and prayer are critical factors to put off the natural man because they bring the Spirit of the Lord into your life to yield to. It would be pretty hard to yield to enticing if we didn't have them. We must constantly and consistently do things in order to have that constant influence of the Spirit.

Repentance is simply a change of heart. Cambio de Corazon. A change of mind, a fresh view of God, of oneself, and of the world.

This is why it's so critically key to have a broken heart and a contrite spirit.

You can't change an ice cube's form. You cannot shape it into what it needs to be unless it goes through some melting or fire. I think that's a lot of times why God humbles us. Then it becomes all soft and liquid, and you can give it correct principles like the gospel and re-freeze it into what it needs to be.

That change of heart daily is so critical.

This week was a good week. We had a lot of good things happen. For some reason, though, no one will come to church. I don't know what I am doing wrong in the invitations. It's okay, though; we will get them this week.

We had a good week. I had zone conference, which was really good. I gave a training that was cool.

I did exchanges, got taco maker pinchos and a tripleta. Then that night, I had food poisoning. PS: Not fun to puke hot sauce; it burns and hurts on both ends.
