Last Transfer.

Well, we had an exchange between me and Elder Stacy. We decided to go to the neighborhood by the beach. Let me tell you, these neighborhoods are my favorite because the people there are pure Puerto Rican. If anyone knows me, you know my brain just doesn't make sense sometimes. That's why I love Puerto Rico. Nothing here makes sense ever, and it's great. Anyways, we were here and we were talking to a lady. She said she couldn't meet with us because she had a black foot. She showed us her foot, and it was the same color as every foot, just swollen. Anyways, we then proceeded to talk to her. It's not going anywhere. She walked away to get water for us, and I saw a mousetrap on her fence, so I grabbed it. Then she came out, and I asked her why she had a mousetrap. She told me they were for the big rats and told me not to touch it because it has diseases. Well, too late for that. We then proceeded to Nidza's house, who is asking us to give her a sec so she can brush her hair. So we asked who we could go visit, and she sent us to Daisy's (we didn't know Daisy). We walked up to Daisy, and she was just out of her mind. She was like, "Golden, asking for the Book of Mormon and service." She told us she would come to church. Then she asked us if we have a girlfriend, and we said no. She told us both to marry her. It was way too wild, so we told her Elder Bishopp is single and ready to marry her, but she has to get baptized first. So I guess I get to help her be baptized to marry an elder that lives with us. :)

I joined a Zumba class with a bunch of old Puerto Rican ladies this week for our morning exercise. Anywho, it was so fun, and these Puerto Ricans loved us. I had so much fun doing Zumba with grandmas in Spanish. It has now turned into a morning thing, and they make us leave them with a prayer, and we started giving them books of Mormons. It was so hype.

We met a super cool lady named Brenda Saturday night and went back and visited her on Sunday. We ended up having a really good lesson with her about the super powerful restoration. She seems super prepared for the Gospel, and then after the lesson, she's like, "Can I take you guys to my friend's house?" and we were like, "Of course." And she drove us 30 minutes to the middle of nowhere, and it just so happens that a member lives right next to him, and not just any member, the perfect member to meet him. So we called the member, and he came to the lesson. Funny thing is that Pai fed us lunch, then we went to Brenda's, and she took us right back to where we came from in Santa Isabel.

Elder Davis said, "Elder Tew was a great first zone leader for me. He taught me the Lord is bound when you do what you are supposed to. That was a great lesson for me and has helped me a lot. He was the first person to also let me experience a super mega bed. Boy, what a night. We all pulled the beds into one room, and then Elder Tew put in earplugs and went right to sleep, but the rest stayed up early into the morning talking and laughing. But I was glad he was there, which is what counted. Then, when we were talking, Elder Tau decided he needed to take a bathroom break and came back and said, 'Elder, we only have 4 hours to sleep.' So we wrapped it up promptly. Elder Tew was asleep at 10:30; he had 8 hours of sleep."

It's getting scary to have so little time left. We had transfer calls last night, and I am staying in Santa Isabel. I'll hit six months here, and I am staying with my Argentine companion, so I don't even have any options for other areas nor companions, and that hit pretty hard. Knowing that I was this close to over has really been hard for me. It's good though, just trying to finish strong. It's a weirder and weirder feeling. Yesterday started a journey of lasts, my last transfer call, and it is all lasts from here. Sadly, life has been amazing here in the mission, and I just don't want it to end.
