QUE GRANDE EL BINGHAM
This week was good. We had a stake conference with the Ponce Stake, and that was super good. Then, Sunday night, Elder Bishopp made us all steaks. It was pretty steaky... or is it stakey? Weekend.
We had our friend Ebelio meet with us. He is a member reference, and it's super good. He is a really awesome man who used to be the jeweler of the Coamo Pueblo. Ebelio also came to the stake conference.
The stake conference was really good. Actually, there were countless talks that were super good. I really liked President Skinner's talk. He talked about looking for the lost sheep and shared a story about a bishopric counselor who would go and get the youth before church. Basically, a really good story.
Fun Ponce Church facts:
The stake of Ponce was founded in 1982, and President Skinner served as a zone leader for six months in the Ponce 1st Ward in 1983. It was pretty cool to hear him talk about that and his time here as a zone leader for six months because, well, I'm not serving in the same ward as him, but I am in exactly the same shoes as my mission president: zone leader for six months in the Ponce Zone.
We also sang in a missionary choir for the stake on Saturday evening. It was actually super powerful and really fun. The practice that Esteban put us through was super intense. I've never felt so professional. We sang "How Great Thou Art."
We had transfers this week, and it was cool and refreshing to see new faces. I am always sad to see missionaries go, but I am super happy to always meet new missionaries and see new faces. There is always huge excitement at the beginning of the transfer.
It's been a good week. We helped our friend Luz accept a baptismal date for May 6th. So please keep Luz in your prayers.
Today, we cleaned our whole house, and that was absolutely insane. I love the feeling of a clean house, but I hate the time it took to clean it. Thankfully, that was my last deep clean Monday.
