We are out of quarantine. It's crazy. All I know is that I absolutely love knocking doors, and I hate quarantine. So this week was super good. We had a lot of fun and a ton of miracles! We had Cristin's baptism. It was so cool to see her husband get to baptize her too! (He's only been a member since February.) It's really cool to be able to be used as an instrument in the Lord's hands. This week, we met a guy when we were doing the shopping cart service. We ended up going to his house, and I kid you not, I have never had to try to convince a guy on my mission that the Bible is also the word of God. He was so for the Book of Mormon but against the Bible (he read the Book of Mormon, and it helped him quit drinking), but I have never had to try and help someone believe in the Bible. It's always the opposite. It was weird. We were walking the streets yesterday, looking for fewer activities, and the Lord just happened to put us in the right place at the right time to...

Day 72 out here in a concrete house, yeah... I'm quarantined. I tested positive 2 times for COVID, lol, kinda stupid if you ask. I haven't had COVID symptoms since last Monday, but my back was killing me all week, so I thought I had a kidney stone or a kidney infection, you know, I don't know. So I went on for a few days with this back problem, and finally, I'm like, "I gotta figure it out." So we go to the doctor, he writes me up for 5 labs: pee test, blood drawing, strep throat test, COVID test (bad idea). First off, I walk in and get told to sit in the chair. She puts the band on my arm, and I'm like, "Oh dear, she's going to draw my blood." I'm going to pass out. So I tell them it's normal and it always happens. Then the other lady starts coming to talk to me about missions, so I start talking to this lady, and then I'm done. Mom, you'd be so proud! I didn't pass out, and I have no idea how. Anyways, we get done, and t...

Wow, I am going to say that this week was milagroso! Holy crap, have I witnessed the coolest thing ever. So on Monday, after our pday, we went to Cristin's house. She has been wanting to get baptized but keeps putting off a date for a reason we have no idea why. So we had her 7-year-old daughter offer a prayer. We had her daughter ask the question, "What date should my mom get baptized?" And I felt really strongly on May 22, so I told my companion what I experienced when she was praying. He didn't say anything, but a day later he randomly looked at me and went, "Yeah, I think May 22 is right." So we decided to make the invitation for her baptism before telling her because the Lord already told us May 22, so we weren't even scared at all for her answer. We were looking forward with the eye of faith, knowing that the Lord already promised. So we went to her house on Friday with the invitation to her baptism. We were super excited to talk to her and make it...

God's timing is so insane. This week, I feel like I saw God's timing more than anything! Elder Donaldson and I were walking down the street in a neighborhood, looking for calle 6. We started on 3 and thought we were on 4, so we walked two blocks over and got really lost. After walking to the end of the street and relieving ourselves in some bushes (as a joke), Elder Donaldson said, "There are no coincidences in God." We kept walking, and three houses down, we found this couple who are now open to being taught. It's pretty cool because they're solid people with lots of potential, and they're keeping commitments pretty well. Continuing on, we were walking in another neighborhood this week, trying to get to a specific house. I suggested parking at a park and walking from there. We knocked on the girl's door, but she wasn't home. We had met her three days before, and although she was tipsy, she was really cool. We wanted to talk to her while she wasn...

Well, I don't know how the weeks keep going by so fast. Also, how is it MAY vaca santa!! So those people we found the other week through Facebook are like super dope, way chill, mega lit. They're super fun to visit. The husband is named Bill; he's a former higher-up in Jimmy John's. He's spent a lot of hours with Jimmy. He helped get the company started, and he can make a sandwich in 20 seconds. Also, his sandwiches are super good. He also loves to talk, and he grew up as an Orthodox Jew. No longer a Jew, but he grew up Jewish. He's also a gringo, born and raised in Texas (personality is the same as Brett Iverson, my old coworker; only a few will understand). Anyway, now that you've got the background, let us go to the lesson this week. This couple is super cool; his wife worked for MTV when it was cool. Anyway, we go to their house, and we'd been fasting for like 12 hours already (since breakfast). We walk in, and there's this huge thing of chicken ...
